Hit the road carefree with the security of a minimum 12-month BOVAG warranty in your back pocket. That drives extra well. It means that all parts covered by the BOVAG warranty are covered. Electric window defective? Covered under warranty. Engine failure? Let's fix it for you! In short, a service that makes you happy!

What does the 12-month BOVAG warranty mean

If you have just received your new car by our driver, you naturally want to drive carefree for as long as possible. We help you do that by offering a standard 12-month BOVAG warranty on every Carvendo car. BOVAG warranty covers almost all defects in your car that you should expect not to break down.

Exceptions

We have to be honest: there are situations where we do not cover BOVAG warranty:

  • The warranty covers no normal wear parts, such as:
    • Tyres
    • Brake pads, brake discs
    • Coupling (in case of normal wear)
    • Windshield wipers
    • Battery (sometimes defective within a short time, but often excluded)
    • Lights, fuses
    • Filters (oil, air, fuel filter)
    • Fluids (oil, coolant, windshield washer fluid, etc.)
  • If the defect or need for maintenance is caused by your actions, for example due to overloading or improper use of the car, reckless driving or negligence
  • In case of external circumstances, such as damage due to water, hail or storm, poor road surface or another road user
  • If no permission has been given for the repair, maintenance or modification (such as tuning or lowering) of the car.
  • The car was used for competition or taxi purposes, unless otherwise agreed

Where can I go if I want to claim a warranty?

The warranty is handled by the supplying car company. So you can always contact the car company in the first instance. Can't you figure it out? Then you can always call us or send us an email asking for a warranty. We would be happy to think along with you how we can ensure that you are back on the road as quickly as possible. Sometimes this can be by making an appointment directly at the local dealer in your area and sometimes the car will have to go back to the supplying car company. Of course, in case of an emergency, we can use our pick up and drop off service to make it as comfortable as possible for you.

Will I get a loan car free of charge when working under warranty?

In most cases, this will not be the case, unless the work takes longer than 1 business day. Of course, it is possible to use a loan car for a fee. The rates depend on the car company where the car is being repaired.

What if my car fails after 12 months?

After these 12 months or 12,000 kilometers, you are responsible for all repair costs, unless your car is still under the manufacturer's warranty. In that case — and if the defect falls under the warranty conditions — the repair costs will be (partially) reimbursed. Maintenance costs are not covered by the BOVAG warranty.
